Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The third pillar of the five initiatives launched by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan is dedicated to educating the population and youth on the effective use of computer technology and the Internet. On 15 May, the Digital Learning Center opened in Andijan.

The Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shukhrat Sadikov took part in the opening ceremony of the Digital Technologies Training Center. After cutting the symbolic ribbon, the visitors of the center got acquainted with the conditions created in the classrooms. The Center will provide courses for programming, including web design, and provide opportunities to develop eSports and read books.

It is noteworthy that the regional khokimiyat and businessmen are interested in this training center. Entrepreneurs offered to open such centers in the regions. The regional hokim launched an initiative to the ministry to organize technology parks, as well as to train 50 young people in e-sports in Belarus or India.

“Of course, these proposals make us happy,” said ICT Minister Shukhrat Sadikov. - We support the proposal of entrepreneurs and the initiative of the regional khokimiyat. At the same time, we need to effectively use the opportunities of the Belarusian-Uzbek joint faculty, opened in TUIT, and Amiti Indian University, which will soon begin its activities. Cybersport championships must first be held at the district level, and then it will be appropriate to organize a regional tournament. If our young people study the basics of programming, if we give them modern knowledge in this regard, and with the help of such knowledge they find their rightful place in life, then we can talk about achieving our goal".
