Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Rustam Karimjonov, the Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, met with Shin Men Sop, the Director of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), to discuss the development of cooperation between the two sides.

The meeting focused on organizing a grant project to expand the "Al-Khwarizmi Heirs" program in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Kashkadarya region, as well as providing the necessary equipment for the project.

KOICA specialists, together with representatives from the Ministry, conducted an analytical study in Karakalpakstan, Kashkadarya, and Khorezm.

As a result of the study, the decision was made to implement the project in Karakalpakstan and the Kashkadarya region.

The main goal of the study was to identify the needs and opportunities for the development of digital education in cities such as Urgench, Nukus, and Karshi. The findings will serve as the basis for the upcoming project, "Digital Innovations Development: Training Talented Technology Specialists in the Regions of Uzbekistan."

The project is planned for implementation from 2026 to 2032.

The project will include the procurement of ICT equipment to teach the population of the regions computer literacy, programming, robotics, and English at digital educational centers.

This initiative aims to equip Uzbek youth with essential digital skills and support their professional development.
