Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan, deputies discussed the draft law "On Material Liability of Military Personnel" in its first reading.

The draft law clarifies the norms of material liability for military personnel, which were previously established by the Law "On Universal Military Duty and Military Service," and proposes the adoption of a comprehensive legal act regulating this issue.

The document explains key aspects such as the grounds for holding military personnel financially liable, categories of limited and full material liability, as well as the procedure for determining and compensating for damages caused.

Deputies noted that the adoption of this law will contribute to strengthening the rule of law within the Armed Forces and promote a culture of respect for the law among military personnel. The draft law was approved in its first reading.
