Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A government resolution “On measures for the development of badminton sports in the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted.

The resolution approved the Program of measures for the development of badminton sports in Uzbekistan.

One of the main directions of the program is the creation of conditions for those involved in this sport, the development of the activities of public-private partnerships in this direction.

In accordance with the decree, starting in 2020, the Center for Scientific and Methodological Support, Retraining and Advanced Training of Specialists in Physical Culture and Sports organizes 3-month retraining courses in badminton sports.

Also, when distributing admission parameters to the bachelor’s program of the Uzbek State University of Physical Education and Sports for the 2020/2021 academic year, quotas for badminton sports will be increased.

From 2020/2021 academic year, the University will create a department in badminton sport.
