Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin reached quarterfinals of the Open Sud de France in Montpellier, defeating Dmitry Tursunov from Russia.
In the second round, Denis Istomin outplayed Dmitry Tursunov at straight sets 7:5 and 6:4. The players spent 1 hour and 34 minutes.
During the match Denis Istomin recorded five break points against three of Tursunov. Istomin served six aces, while Russian player registered eight aces.
In the quarterfinals, Istomin will face Gaël Monfils of France in quarterfinals.
