Denis Istomin loses to Yuzhniy in five sets

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin could not advance to quarterfinals of Wimbledon, losing to Russia’s Mikhail Yuzhniy in five sets - 3:6, 7:5, 4:6, 7:6 (5) and 5:7.

The match lasted four hours and 16 minutes. Istomin served 16 aces against 12 of Russian. At the same time, Denis Istomin made 35 unforced errors against 30 of Yuzhniy.

Denis Istomin recorded 72 winners, while Mikhail Yuzhniy claimed 51 winners. Uzbekistan number one made three break points, while Yuzhniy – 5.

Mikhail Yuzhniy will play against Roger Federer for semifinal berth.
