Denis Istomin advances to second round of Mutua Madrid Open

Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomon progressed to the second round of Mutua Madrid Open, which is taking place in Minsk.
In the first round of the tournament, Istomin defeated Russia’s Teymuraz Gabashvili in straight sets with the score 6:1 and 6:4.
The match lasted an hour. Istomin recorded 11 aces, two double faults and three break points. Gabashvili did not serve any aces, broke his opponents and committed four double faults.
Denis Istomin will face Tomas Berdyh of the Czech Republic in the second round.
