It was said that currently the sides regularly hold political consultations. The sides are also cooperating within the UN and other international organizations.

The sides underlined that the side have common views on majority of international and regional issues, including fighting terrorism, drug trafficking and weapon of mass destruction (WMD) spread, as well as sustainable development.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said that the sides paid attention to issue on deepening trade-economic and investment relations. The sides exchanged opinion on the fifth session of the intergovernmental commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation, which was held in Tashkent.

The sides underlined attention on perspective directions of cooperation. It was said that the agreement between Uzbekneftegaz and Petrovietnam on exploration of Kossor investment block.

The sides expressed interest in deepening of cooperation through creating joint ventures with final processing cycle and production of high quality goods with value added cost in textile, silk, leather and footwear, food, oil and gas, agriculture, pharmaceutical and telecommunication industries.

The officials of Uzbekistan and Vietnam also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
