The visit of the Uzbektourism delegation to Vietnam became another step in development of partnership in tourism sector. At the event, Uzbektourism presented tourism potential of Uzbekistan and disseminated information about unique tourism opportunities in the country.

The fair included various seminars and events dedicated to cultural potential for development of tourism, policy and plans for development of tourism, marketing, management and technologies for promotion of destinations.

The Uzbek delegation held negotiations with representatives of tourism administration, ministry of sport, culture and tourism of Vietnam. At the meetings, the sides considered an Uzbek-Vietnamese relations in trade, economic and investment spheres. They also considered cooperation in tourism sector, including attracting tourism organization to projects in Uzbekistan.

The Vietnamese side offered to open direct flight between Tashkent and Hoshimin. The Uzbek delegation presented tourism potential of Uzbekistan and invited the Vietnamese side to participate at Tashkent international tourism fair, which will be held on 8-10 October 2013. The Uzbek side also invited Vietnamese tourism firms and mass media to participate at Mega-info-tour.

The delegation of Uzbekistan also familiarized with tourism infrastructure of Ha Long Bay, which was included to UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. In 2011, it was announced as one of Seven Wonders of the World.
