Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Alisher Temirov, Director of Uzbekistan’s Pharmaceutical Safety Center, held a meeting with a delegation from Poland led by Grzegorz Cessak, President of Poland’s Office for Registration of Medicinal Products, Medical Devices, and Biocidal Products.
The primary focus of the discussions was the implementation of the cooperation memorandum signed on 30 August 2024, between the regulatory authorities of Uzbekistan and Poland.
Poland’s Office for Registration of Medicinal Products is a key authority responsible for the safety and effectiveness of medical products in the country. Since 2002, it has handled the registration and quality control of pharmaceutical products.
During the meeting, the parties signed a "roadmap" outlining specific steps and deadlines for furthering cooperation and joint activities.
The Polish delegation also plans to visit the "UzMedExpo-2024" exhibition, Rompharm, and the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan to gain a deeper understanding of the country’s pharmaceutical sector.
