Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Agency for Strategic Reforms of Uzbekistan with the German company DB Engineering & Consulting.
The head of the representative office of DB Engineering & Consulting in Uzbekistan, Innokenty Belyakov-Zagumennov, proposed to study the company’s potential and spoke about its international experience in implementing large railway projects in Egypt, Canada and India.
In Egypt, the company manages the largest railway project, which is the sixth largest high-speed network in the world and stretches 2 thousand km. The first line is planned to be launched in 2025.
In Canada, the company manages the railway infrastructure of the province of British Columbia under a 25-year agreement.
A 12-year contract has been awarded to the Indian authorities for the operation and maintenance of the railways, and a special operating company has been established.
DB Engineering & Consulting is ready to advise and implement railway projects in Uzbekistan, including the construction of a target organizational model, improvement of the operational processes of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC and the development of railway stations with the attraction of private investment.
The company also expressed its readiness to take part in the construction of a high-speed railway line on the Tashkent-Samarkand section.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue in this direction.
