Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the initiative of the Agency of Cinematography, the Days of Uzbek Cinema were held in Kazakhstan on 6-8 December.

Several films were shown as part of the event. Among them are films "Meros" by Khilol Nasimov, "Ibrat" by Jakhongir Kasymov, "Tutkunlik" by Rashid Malikov. Also during the visit, a memorandum was signed with the Minister of Information and Communication of Kazakhstan.

The films "Ilhak" and "Alisher Navoi" were broadcast on Kazakhstani TV channels. Uzbek TV channels also showed a number of Kazakhstani national films, among them the films "The Sky of My Childhood", "Nut Childhood", "Vacation Offline", "Zhau Zhurek Myn Bala".

The closing ceremony of the event was held at the Kazakh State Academic Music and Drama Theater named after K. Kuanishbayev, where the artists performed Uzbek and Kazakh folk songs and dances.
