Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3-5 December 2018, Tashkent will host days of managerial innovations. The event was organized by the Ministry of Innovation Development, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the UNDP Office in Uzbekistan with the support of the British Embassy in Tashkent.
The purpose of the event is to study, pilot and introduce innovative approaches, methods and solutions in public administration in order to increase the efficiency of planning, implementation and monitoring of public policy, improving the availability and quality of public services for citizens and enterprises.
One of the key events of the event will be a “round table” on the topic “Practical innovations in public administration” with the participation of senior staff of ministries and departments of the republic, as well as international experts.
The days will also include seminars, lectures, presentations on innovation development strategies, innovative laboratories, design thinking, evidence-based policies, data-based management, design of public services based on users ‘needs, and the use of behavioral tools to improve the efficiency of public administration.
Local and international experts in the field of implementation of the strategy of innovative development, organization of activities of innovative laboratories to improve the efficiency of public administration, design of thinking, evidentiary policy development, and management based on data and design of public services are invited as speakers.
The main events of the days will be held at the Academy of Public Administration. Also, field lectures of foreign experts are planned at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Inha University in Tashkent and Westminster International University in Tashkent.
The introduction of innovations in public administration is one of the main elements of administrative reforms in developed and developing countries around the world. As international experience shows, today it is impossible to imagine a state administration system without developing and mastering innovative solutions and technologies. And the point is not only in equipping civil servants with modern computers and devices, but in a cardinal rethinking of managerial methods and tools. It is about the effective use of advanced technologies, interdisciplinary approaches that allow us to link modern scientific knowledge, practical experience and creative potential of people for the successful fulfillment of administrative tasks.
