At the meeting, the sides considered issues of cooperation in cinema industry between Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic. The meeting was attended by head of Uzbekkino Jahongir Kasimov and director-general of Tashkent International Cinema Forum “Golden Guepard” Akbar Hakimov.

Many people know the Czech films, which produced in 1950s, 1970s and 1980s. Majority of them are fairy-tales. The sides noted that it will be interesting to familiarize the Uzbek audience with modern fairy-tale films of the Czech Republic.

It is expected that new films will be shown within the Tashkent International Cinema Forum “Golden Guepard” on 19-24 September 2013.

The organizers of the forum are also planning to hold educational events dedicate to the Czech cinema industry and invite Czech representatives to the jury.

At the negotiations, the sides also discussed presenting Uzbek films in the Czech Republic, and cooperation in shooting joint films.
