Customs officers of Tashkent International Airport revealed illegal attempts of smuggling of gold products. Andijan region’s citizen Inabathon A., passenger of Istanbul-Tashkent flight, tried to smuggle 130 grams of gold products for 16 million soums without declaring them.
At border customs post Farhod of Tashkent regional State Customs Department, the customs officers prevented smuggling of large volume of gold products. Inspecting Nexia car of driver O.Rakhumov, the officers seized 7.5 kg of gold products with the cost of 902 million soums. Some 2,316 units of gold products were hidden in spare tyre.
Officers of Customs Post Keles in Tashkent city found 70 grams of gold products for 7 million soums from Navoi region citizen Z. Turabova, who was passenger of train Moscow-Tashkent.
The customs investigations are underway. In line with the legislation, the gold products should be declared at customs posts. It is allowed to import gold products up to 30 grams without payment of excise duty.
