Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov commented on this situation at the open dialogue "Cultural and tourist image of Tashkent - 2030", which took place within the framework of the "Tashkent Youth Forum - 2020".

“The case with the demolition of a part of the historical building Tash-Khauli in Khiva is being investigated by the prosecutor’s office. Appropriate action will soon be taken against all those responsible. However, will that be enough? We must first change our attitude towards cultural heritage,” he said.

“Until an environment is formed in society in which the destruction of historical monuments is unacceptable, the situation will repeat itself again, like the question “Where is the Ministry of Culture looking?” Ozodbek Nazarbekov said.
