Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Director of the Center for Pharmaceutical Safety, Alisher Temirov, met with Zakia Al-Kurdi, Regional Head of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) for Regulatory Affairs and Government Policy in the Middle East and Africa.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for international cooperation, the improvement of pharmaceutical quality control systems, and the implementation of modern technologies.

Additionally, Zakia Al-Kurdi was introduced to the work of the Center’s modern laboratories, highly praising the scientific and technical efforts being made to ensure the safety and quality of pharmaceutical products, and held discussions with specialists.

Following the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Center for Pharmaceutical Safety and the United States Pharmacopeia (USP).

As part of the agreement, the Center has become a participant in USP’s Privileged Access Program for Regulatory Authorities (PAR).

This agreement grants the Center preferential access to USP resources and products, access to the USP Education platform, and the use of U.S. legal documents, including the Food Chemicals Codex and the USP Dictionary.
