Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Kazan, a meeting was held between the Consul General of Uzbekistan, Nodirjon Kasimov, and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Vasily Shaykhraziev, Dunyo news agency reported.
During the meeting, they discussed the prospects for strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan, as well as expanding cooperation in the fields of migration and higher education.
The parties exchanged views on creating the necessary conditions for Uzbek citizens residing in Tatarstan to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for 27 October.
Particular attention was given to the protection of the rights of Uzbek citizens working and studying in the Republic of Tatarstan.
