Construction of first cable-stayed pedestrian bridge in Uzbekistan ends

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of the construction of the Navruz recreation park (Tashkent), near the Ankhor canal, the construction of the first cable-stayed pedestrian bridge in the Republic of Uzbekistan is being completed.

The project was developed by the leading project institute of the Russian Federation, JSC Institute Giprostroymost St. Petersburg, using the accumulated experience and in full compliance with the requirements of the building standards of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The multi-level structure of the bridge forms two loops, which form the infinity sign - walking zones, with the help of which the main pedestrian routes are connected with the Navruz Park and the Museum of Olympic Glory.

The main structural elements, as well as part of the auxiliary materials were specially ordered, manufactured and delivered to the Republic of Uzbekistan for the implementation of this project in full compliance with the design decisions.

During the construction, local specialists from the MOSTOOTRYAD-1 UE trust Kuprikkurilish and the Directorate of Capital Construction of Uzbekiston Temir Yollari JSC in cooperation with specialists from the Russian Federation Kurganstalmost CJSC, GiMN, MostostroyInzhiniring LLC, and others were involved.

The organization of work was carried out by invited foreign experts who noted the high organization of work on the spot and the desire of the international team to work together to ensure the highest possible quality bold idea of architects.

To date, in our country, this suspended type construction is the only one of its kind.

The development of the concept of the bridge, the design project, the working documentation and all the work was carried out at the expense of 100% of the own funds of investors, shareholders of UMMC and Transmashholding.

The object will be donated to Tashkent and its residents and is part of a long-term charitable investment program providing for the construction and donation of a modern multifunctional medical center in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district of Tashkent.
