Currently broadband Internet is used as main infrastructure of modern economy and has key role in social-economic development. Broadband technology play key role in support of modern applications and ICT services.

The conference was aimed at revealing problems, hindering to development and introduction of broadband technologies, presenting latest achievements and developing recommendations on key aspects of developing and introducing broadband technology, UzA reported.

Participants noted that there are many researches, which confirm positive economic returns from investments to broadband. It was said that broadband Internet will allow to increase productivity and increase competition, decrease expenses, improve activities in the market, and improve social communication and education.

During two days, participants will consider actual issues such as introduction of broadband technologies, tasks and opportunities related to introduction of broadband, development trends in introduction of broadband technologies, perspective technologies, etc.

Representatives of telecommunication sector of Uzbekistan and the CIS states are participating at the conference. Among participants are largest telecommunication vendors and communication operators.
