Tashkent hosted a conference entitled “Interaction of National Centre of Uzbekistan [of Human Rights] with state bodies in protection of human rights”, UzA reported.

The meeting analyzed procedures and existing mechanisms on cooperation of National Centre of Uzbekistan of Human Rights with state bodies in protection of human rights. It developed recommendations for further improvement of legislation in this direction, stir up cooperation in monitoring and information work on promotion of human rights and freedoms in Uzbekistan.

The conference discussed issues on search and use of new methods of cooperation with state bodies to promote protection of human rights.

Akmal Saidov, director of National Centre of Uzbekistan of Human Rights, said Uzbekistan developed legal and institutional base for stimulation and protection of human rights. He said effective state system on protection of rights and freedoms works in Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of the conference, a book “National Centre of Uzbekistan on Human Rights: formation and development”.
