Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A creative competition is being held in Uzbekistan to create a monument Igor Savitsky.

The contest is organized in order to perpetuate the memory of Igor Vitalyevich Savitsky, founder of the State Art Museum in Karakalpakstan, artist of Uzbekistan, People’s Artist of Karakalpakstan, a unique talent who made a worthy contribution to the development of the culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The selection criteria are as follows:

– The statue must have a unique artistic and architectural solution, meet high aesthetic requirements and have a clear artistic intent.

– Sculptors specializing in this field, specialists with experience in the field of monumental art and modern urban planning can participate in the creative competition.

- The selected model according to the sketches of the project can be made of any material for carrying and long-term storage.

The statue will be installed on the territory of the State Art Museum named after I. V. Savitsky in Nukus, the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
