Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- One of the world's leading media networks, CNN, in November 2023 filmed a documentary entitled "The Spirit of Samarkand", which tells about Uzbekistan's tourism potential and the rich cultural heritage of the ancient city.

The 30-minute movie is scheduled to premiere in late December 2023. The video will introduce viewers of the channel to the unique beauty of Samarkand, historically rich tourist opportunities, modern life and ancient traditions of our country.

To shoot the movie the creative team headed by the producer of the TV channel Antoniya Mortensen visited all historical places of Samarkand. During the filming, they captured interesting scenes about the art of calligraphy, the subtleties of cooking Samarkand pilaf, modern and ancient musical traditions, as well as had conversations with architects and famous historians.

Today CNN is one of the largest media corporations in the world, with an audience of more than 347 million viewers worldwide and more than 200 million followers on social networks.
