Clients of Beeline now use communication services at all stations of the Tashkent metro

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Beeline launched mobile communications in the capital’s metro. Beeline Uzbekistan customers can use all the usual services in the metro.

The Beeline metro communication project became possible thanks to the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

As Andrzej Malinowski, CEO of Beeline Uzbekistan, noted, the main driving goal of the project was the desire to provide subscribers with communication anywhere: “Beeline services are available in cities and remote mountainous areas and near ancient architectural monuments. Now the next logical step has been taken: we have gone underground! Hundreds of thousands of our customers use the services of the Tashkent Metro, so we have done everything to keep them connected during the trip at each of the 31 underground stations. The metro is a transport familiar to tourists. Now guests of the capital will be able to use smartphones at underground stations, in particular, for navigation, searching the Internet for the right addresses.”

For several months, technicians at all metro stations have been debugging mobile services and testing voice, data, and signal continuity.

“Now our customers can confidently use the usual messengers, listen to music and podcasts, and even watch their favorite TV shows or lectures in excellent quality at all stations of the Tashkent metro. And of course, to be in touch with relatives, friends and colleagues, which is very important during the working day,” explains Mahmudjon Nodirov, technical director of Beeline Uzbekistan. “We continue to closely monitor the quality of communication in real conditions of loads in the subway, especially during peak hours, including the analysis of feedback from our customers. This allows you to quickly find problematic points and quickly set up equipment so that all the company’s services work in the subway in the same way as on the earth’s surface.

The Beeline Uzbekistan network was launched on the basis of the UZTELECOM infrastructure using the MORAN (Multi Operator RAN) active equipment sharing technology.
