Citizen of the Republic of Korea starts his duties as Deputy Health Minister

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As previously reported, by a decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a citizen of the Republic of Koreas Dong-wook Lee was appointed to the post of the deputy minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan for social development.

Dong-wook Lee recently took up his duties, the public relations department of the Ministry of Health said.

A meeting was held in the Ministry to get acquainted with the staff of the Central Office of the Ministry and the heads of institutions with it.

“During his activities at home, he worked on development of a demographic policy at the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Korea, and was also engaged in adjusting the prices of medical services, his merit is improving the management of hospital wards and the system of providing medical services. For the first time, when it was in the Republic of Korea, the system of accreditation at the international level for international institutions was adopted by amending legislation, and a patient-oriented public health system was created. Dong-wook Lee contributed to the development and improvement of policies and integrated plans related to health systems and resources, ” the report said.

The meeting also noted the experience of Dong-wook Lee in the Republic of Korea in the field of health insurance policies, which is very important for our country, when according to the implementation of the Health System Development Concept of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2019-2025, development and adoption of legal acts in the field of compulsory medical insurance, the phased provision of universal coverage of citizens of the country with this service.
