Representatives from border services of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed such issues as strengthening the CIS borders, exchanging information to organize effective counteraction against drug trafficking, illegal migration, terrorism and religious extremism.

The participants in the meeting voiced their adherence to agreements reached on strengthening borders and training qualified specialists for timely counteraction against new challenges and threats to security in post Soviet area.
