CIS Interior officials gather in Moscow to discuss information exchange
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Russian Interior Minister is hosting a meeting of the heads of central information services of CIS law enforcement bodies on topic “Formation and introduction of Interstate information bank. Perspectives of development of information interaction of CIS law enforcement bodies” on 21 April 2010.
Two-day event is chaired by the First Deputy Interior Minister of Russia Mikhail Sukhodolskiy. The key issue in the agenda of the meeting is information interaction of the CIS law enforcement bodies during investigation of crimes.
Mikhail Sukhodolskiy said for last year, the information exchange among the CIS law enforcement bodies helped to detain over 3,000 people, who were suspected in committing crime.
He added that some law enforcement bodies exchange information through electronic channels, which simplifies work of police in search of people.
Sukhodolskiy said the specialists can exchange experience and develop common position on solving some problems in such meeting.
Participants are discussing issues of forming Interstate information bank, problems and perspectives on its development, organization of information exchange in electronic type, ensuring information security in international exchange and others.
