Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - An international seminar on the exchange of experience in the field of cinematography and animation was held in Ankara, which was organized as part of the Commission on Social, Cultural and Humanitarian Affairs of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TurkPA) with the support of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
The event was chaired by the deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, the head of the said commission of TurkPA Sadyk Sher-Niyaz. The seminar was also attended by parliamentarians and representatives of the cinema industry of Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkey. The Uzbek delegation was represented by the deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan K. Dzhurayev and the head of the information and communication and innovative technologies of the Uzbekkino B. Makhmudov.
The meeting discussed the draft model law on attracting foreign investment for the development of cinematographic and audiovisual works, as well as joint efforts to bring the laws of the TurkPA member countries closer together and the possibility of exchanging experience in this area.
The participants of the event agreed on the need to create a common fund of Turkic-speaking states in the field of cinematography, which will be called upon to sponsor common projects in the field of cinema and animation.
