Chinese President Xi Jinping will also pay state visits to Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan within his tour to Central Asian nations on 3-13 September 2013. Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit Uzbekistan on invitation of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.
Within his tour, the Chinese leader will also attend the eighth G20 Summit in St. Petersburg (Russia) on 5-6 September and the thirteenth Meeting of the Council of Heads of the Member States of the SCO in Bishkek on 13 September.
Ambassador Zhang Xiao said underlined that Xi Jinping will pay his first visit to Uzbekistan in the capacity of the President. He said that the visit will play a key role in dynamic development of strategic partnership between two nations.
Within the visit it is planned to sign several bilateral agreements in trade-economic and political spheres.
Zhang Xiao underlined that trade turnover between Uzbekistan and China can reach US$3.5 billion in 2013. As earlier reported, the trade turnover between two states grew by 60% year-on-year to US$2.54 billion, which is equal to figure of 2011.
