Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 5 January 2024, a global presentation of the Taklamakan 2024 rally dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Chinese Taklamakan International Rally took place in Beijing. The race will take place from 20 May to 1 June and starts in the city of Kashgar. The race participants finish in the city of Aksu, XUAR. Three modes of transport are involved: cars, motorcycles and trucks.

At the presentation, information was also published on the registration of the route of the 2024 race, the Chinese Silk Road Rally race, as well as the Friendly Tour route, which will take place in Central Asia, an international cross-country race for cars and motorcycles.

The Taklamakan Rally was first held in 2005 and is an international competition that tests a person’s physical endurance and vehicle performance under harsh natural conditions. From 2005 to 2023, several generations of cross-country fans realized their dreams through the Taklamakan Rally.

Over the past 20 years, participants in the Taklamakan Rally have set many records among national races, and today it is already an international competition.
