Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Uzbekistan organized a festive event in Tashkent to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year.
The celebration, held at the Tashkent City Mall, brought together over a thousand guests.
The program featured traditional Chinese music performances, lively lion dances, and demonstrations of kung fu, offering attendees a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich atmosphere of Chinese traditions and enjoy the festive spirit.
Visitors had the chance to participate in interactive cultural activities, such as writing festive couplets, paper-cutting, crafting traditional Chinese lanterns, and tasting aromatic Chinese tea.
It is worth noting that the second new moon after the winter solstice will occur on 29 January 2025, marking the start of the Lunar New Year according to the Eastern calendar.
