Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- China continues to hold first place among Uzbekistan’s trading partners. Over nine months, trade turnover between the countries reached US$9.4 billion, which is 36.2% more than a year earlier.
According to the Statistics Agency, Russia is in second place with US$7 billion. Over the year, the figures increased by 6%. Kazakhstan is in third place with a slight decrease in trade with the Republic of Uzbekistan by 1.5%, to US$3.22 billion.
In total, in January-September, Uzbekistan traded with foreign countries for US$44.8 billion, with an increase of 22.1%.
Total exports during this time amounted to US$17.7 billion. Uzbekistan mainly supplied gold, services, and industrial goods abroad.
Imports accounted for US$27 billion. The main items of the purchase were machinery, transport equipment, industrial and chemical products.
