China lifts quarantine for travelers from abroad

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- China has lifted coronavirus restrictions, including quarantine for those entering from abroad, RIA Novosti reported.

China has lifted a number of coronavirus restrictions in place since 2020, including mandatory centralized quarantine and PCR testing upon arrival from abroad.

It is noted that from 8 January, citizens traveling to China will have to take a PCR test for coronavirus infection 48 hours before the flight. The result of the test will have to be indicated when completing the health declaration.

If the PCR test result for COVID-19 is negative, individuals do not need to contact the Chinese diplomatic mission, as was the case before. If the test is positive, it is recommended to postpone your trip until you recover.

Earlier it was reported that the US authorities from 5 January introduced mandatory testing for coronavirus for those arriving in the country on flights from China. The requirement will apply to all passengers over the age of two. Before departure from Chinese airports, they will have to have a negative test result for coronavirus, taken no earlier than two days before departure.
