Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan passed the law on 23 December 2011 and Senate approved it on 25 March 2011.

The law is directed at improving order on conducting and coordinating radiation security in Uzbekistan.

The document introduces changes to the Law of Uzbekistan “On radiation security”. The law explains meaning of “radioactive waste”, which determined as “any means in any condition, which are not designed for further use and includes radioactive nuclide higher than norms and rules of Uzbekistan”.
