Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  Chairwoman of the Senate of Uzbekistan’s Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva visited the national pavilion of Uzbekistan at the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP29 in Baku.

She explored the exhibition, which showcased the integration of traditional approaches to sustainable development with modern solutions to environmental challenges.

Special attention was given to projects related to the rehabilitation of the Aral Sea, including large-scale afforestation and the improvement of the socio-economic conditions of the region’s population.

The Chairwoman emphasized the importance of international forums such as COP29 in strengthening global cooperation on environmental issues.

According to her, Uzbekistan will continue to actively participate in international initiatives aimed at mitigating the impacts of climate change and ensuring environmentally sustainable development for future generations.
