Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of events dedicated to the National Days of Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan, held in conjunction with the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva held meetings with Oguljahon Atabayeva, Vice President for Medical Affairs of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Children in Need of Care, and Ahmad Kawesa, Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) for Economic Affairs.

During the sincere and substantive discussions, it was emphasized that thanks to the active efforts of heads of state, the centuries-old friendship uniting the peoples of the region is steadily strengthening and evolving into a strategic partnership.

The parties exchanged views on the development of economic diplomacy and initiatives aimed at deepening regional cooperation.

Special attention was given to measures for further enhancing mutually beneficial bilateral relations and the regular organization of joint cultural events.
