Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the National Tax Service of the Republic of Korea is on an official visit to Uzbekistan.

Today, at the Central Office of the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the chairman of the State Tax Committee Sherzod Kudbiev met with the Commissioner of the National Tax Service of the Republic of Korea Daeji Kim.

The events focused on strengthening the ties of cooperation between the two departments in matters of taxation during the Covid-19 pandemic and the digitalization of tax administration.

The parties presented the results of the reforms of tax systems, in particular the achievements after the introduction of digital tools in tax administration. Options for further interaction in this direction were discussed, as well as taking into account the existing experience and needs. The field of information support and personnel training is also in the spotlight.

The head of the National Tax Service of South Korea, Daeji Kim, highly appreciated the achievements of the state tax authorities of Uzbekistan and expressed confidence that further transformation of the sphere will certainly serve to optimize tax administration and increase the confidence of taxpayers.

Within the framework of the working visit, the guests were shown the updated divisions of the State Tax Committee - the Data Processing Center and the Department of Information and Communication Technologies, a presentation of domestic modern software developments, the introduction of which is scheduled for the end of this year, took place. At the end of the visit, the sides discussed aspects of further cooperation between the tax departments of the two countries.

The delegation of the Republic of Korea includes leading experts on international taxation, compliance control and regulation of international treaties.

The visit of the colleagues of the tax service of the Republic of Korea will continue tomorrow in the Samarkand region. Guests will be introduced to the modern operating room for rendering services to taxpayers of the State Tax Administration of Samarkand Region, equipped with a clear zoning principle, clear navigation and self-service kiosks.
