Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 June, at the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Tashkent, during the reporting and election Conference of the Gymnastics Federation of Uzbekistan (FGU), Ulugbek Rozukulov, Chairman of the Board of Uzavtosanoat, was elected head of the Federation.

The appointment of a candidate for the post of President of the Federal State University was based on the results of a vote, during which the participants of the Conference unanimously approved Ulugbek Rozukulov for this responsible position.

During the conference, Ulugbek Rozukulov noted the importance of sports in the life and development of the younger generation, stressed the achievement of a high level of authority of the Federal State University in the Olympic Movement. The Federation currently occupies the 9th position among the 162 national gymnastic federations of the world, representing four disciplines - this is artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline and sports acrobatics.

“Today, the gymnastics of Uzbekistan, thanks to the success of our athletes in major international tournaments, has achieved considerable prestige on the world stage. In December 2022, the President of the country made a revolutionary decision that opens a new page in the history of the development of gymnastics in Uzbekistan. Grandiose tasks have been set for the Gymnastics Federation, and I am sure that together with gymnasts, coaches, doctors and the entire staff of the FGU, we will be able to achieve all the goals in preserving and increasing the sports potential of our team.” - said Ulugbek Rozukulov.
