Chairman of APTA visits Germany
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chairperson of Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) Nabijon Kasimov paid a visit to Germany from 29 June to 3 July 2017.

The purpose of the visit is to hold negotiations with potential German partners for establishing long-term cooperation in attracting tourists from Germany to Uzbekistan.

Within the framework of the visit, Kasimov and Executive Director of the Association for Economic Cooperation with Eastern and Central European Countries (Osteuropaverein) Ute Kochlowski-Kadjaia discussed prospects for cooperation in organizing events dedicated to the tourism potential of Uzbekistan.

Kochlowski-Kadjaia expressed her confidence in the correct development and bringing to the present under the leadership of the new president of Uzbekistan the Country Development Strategy until 2021.

The Association unites more than 200 medium and small companies in Germany, including tourist, information and consulting support.

In this connection, the sides agreed to organize seminars in Uzbekistan as the first joint project by the end of this year. The main topics of the seminars will be issues related to promotion of Uzbek tourist products in Germany, effective positioning of Uzbekistan as a tourist destination, as well as the specifics of receiving and servicing German tourists.

Following the meeting, an agreement on cooperation between joint organizations and organizations on political issues was signed. The sides reached an agreement on the joint development of a Plan of concrete actions for the medium term.

The President of the Association of Independent Tourist Companies of Germany J.Chech discussed promotion of the tourist product in the German market.

The German side was informed about current situation in Uzbekistan in the sphere of tourism development and invited to the forthcoming 23rd Tashkent International Tourism Fair, which will be held on 3-5 October 2017 in Tashkent.

Noting the great interest of German tourists to the historical and modern sights of Uzbekistan, the head of the German Association, uniting more than 500 private tourist firms of Germany, expressed readiness to help in attracting more tourists from Germany into Uzbekistan.

An agreement was reached on organizing a visit of a delegation of German travel companies to Uzbekistan in October 2017.

The parties also agreed that the German association will support tourism companies of Uzbekistan in the German market, assist the participation of APTA in tourist events in Germany and hold presentations and business meetings in the "B2B" format.

APTA head also took part in the event dedicated to the economic and tourist potential of Uzbekistan in Germany.
