Central Bank to continue to cooperate with the OECD/IFRS as a full member of the network

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan will continue cooperation with the International Network for Financial Education of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD/IFRS) as a full member of the network.

In the period from 2019-2022, the Central Bank took an active part in the OECD project on technical assistance in the field of financial education in the CIS countries, which resulted in the active role of the Republic of Uzbekistan in international studies, high-level conferences and experience exchange programs. In order to further cooperation in the field of effective implementation of financial education policy and improving the financial literacy of various groups of the population, the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan entered into a full membership of the OECD / IFRS.

Active membership will expand the possibilities of international interaction and allow the Central Bank to receive technical support in studying the international assessment system, methodology and standards, implementing educational projects for priority target groups, as well as access to documents and materials posted on a specialized platform for member countries and the latest research in the field of financial education development.

OECD/IFRS has a high level of membership. It features more than 280 government agencies - including central banks, ministries of finance and education - from 131 countries. Currently, there are 3 working groups in the international network dealing with key strategic areas related to financial education.
