Finance 09/01/2008 Central Bank registers six credit unions
The regulator granted license to Zamin Capital, located in Almalik city of Tashkent region. The charter capital of the union is 33 million soums.

Lider Mortgage Unvestment with charter capital of 74 million soums will operate in Tashkent city. Another credit union, Turon Kapital, will also operate in the Uzbek capital city. The charter capital equals to 76.3 million soums.

Tashkent-based Shans-kredit also received license from the Central Bank. This credit union has charter capital of 63.9 million soums.

The Central Bank issued license to Uch Hamkor (Uchkuprik ditrict of Ferghana region) and Nihol (Bogot district of Khorazm region). Both have authorized capital equal to 32 million soums.

The Uzbek regulator said the credit unions will finance projects of its members – small and private businesses. They will also render leasing services.
