Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting took place at the Central Bank of Uzbekistan with representatives from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI).
The guests from India shared their country’s experience in digital payment systems, discussing the key features of the NPCI payment system, popular services, advanced technologies, and stringent cybersecurity measures.
During the meeting, the parties addressed current issues related to the enhancement of Uzbekistan’s payment system, exchanged experiences, and explored opportunities for cooperation in cybersecurity development.
Particular attention was given to the integration of India’s Unified Payments Interface (UPI) with the HUMO and UZCARD payment systems in Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness for further collaboration on the discussed areas, promising new opportunities for the development and improvement of payment systems in Uzbekistan.
