Center for implementation of educational programs of Webster University to be opened in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On establishment of a center for implementation of educational programs of Webster University in the city of Tashkent."

According to the document, a center for implementation of educational programs of Webster University (USA) is being created in Tashkent.

The center will prepare specialists in the field of information and communication technologies, media, entrepreneurship, natural sciences and pedagogy.

The center, as a higher educational institution, provides training, retraining and advanced training of specialists, including the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel in the areas of undergraduate education and graduate specialties.

Training at the Center is carried out on a tuition basis and in English.

Educational activities in the Center are carried out starting from the 2019/2020 academic year, graduates are awarded diplomas. Reception quotas are approved taking into account the need for personnel.

The following undergraduate courses will be opened at the Center:

• management information systems;
• interactive digital media;
• Media communications;
• Graphic design;
• Advertising and marketing communications;
• Computer science;
• Entrepreneurship;
• Economy;
• International relationships;
• Accounting;
• European studies;
• Global journalism;
• Public relations;
• Production of movies, television and video.

There will also be 16 graduate specialties. Among them are business management, education and innovation, management and leadership.
