Representatives of commercial banks of Uzbekistan participated in the conference, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan said.
During the event, Moody’s made presentations on changes of global economic trends and their impact to the CIS, recommendations on Basel III recommendations, etc.
Moody’s also briefed the participants on methodology of assignment of ratings and opinions on results of reforms in the Uzbek banking system.
The rating agency for the sixth in a row affirmed stable development of the banking system of Uzbekistan. According to the agency, this is connected with high economic growth of Uzbekistan, high volume of investments, etc.
The Uzbek banking system has the stable dynamics of assets quality, good level of profitability, sustainable level of liquidity. It was noted that the Uzbek Central Bank carries out efficient banking supervisions, via monitoring quality of assets, credit portfolio diversification and other indicators.
