The regulator said that the Board of the Central Bank adopted the decision on keeping the refinancing rate at 9% APR.

The Central Bank underlined that the decision will allow to continue course of monetary-credit policy directed at keeping inflation level within planned levels.

Keeping the refinance rate also will allow to create favourable financial and investment conditions to achieve planned tempo of economic growth in Uzbekistan in 2016.

The refinance rate was set at 9% APR on 1 January 2015. The Central Bank decreased its refinancing rate from 10% to 9% on that day.
