CBU introduces changes to rules for obtaining permission to opening of accounts abroad
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Board of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan introduced change to order of issuing permission of opening banking accounts abroad.

Central Bank of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution “On introduction of changes to order of issuing permission of opening banking accounts abroad” on 8 September 2012. The Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan registered it on 27 September 2012.

In line with the changes, the companies will not have to obtain a consent of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade to creation of representative office to obtain permission of the Central Bank to open a banking accounts abroad.

The decision was adopted in line with the presidential decree on decreasing statistic and financial reporting, number of licensing activities in Uzbekistan. The rules will come into force on 7 October.
