Uzbek ministry said that the sides exchanged opinion on perspective directions of cooperation. It was said that the sides pay special attention to deepening political dialogue, developing trade-investment and cultural-humanitarian cooperation, based on equality, mutual trust and taking into account interest of each other.
The sides underlined that it is necessary to increase role of trade-economic cooperation as its current level does not correspond to existing potential between two states.
Currently, there are 43 joint ventures in Uzbekistan with Canadian investment, of which 14 are with 100% Canadian capital.
The sides discussed other issues of mutual interest.
Within the visit, the Canadian delegation will pay visit to Senate, Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade, and other structures.
