The Uzbek ministry said that the sides considered a complex of issues of the Uzbek-Canadian relations at the meeting.

The sides considered approaches of the sides to development of relations in context of agreements, reached during political consultations, which was held in Tashkent in July 2011.

They noted that it is necessary to develop joint efforts, directed at effective interaction of economic and investment opportunities of the sides to deepen mutual beneficial cooperation. In the context, the proposal of the Canadian side on organization of the visits of the business circles is important, the ministry said.

The sides noted mutual interest in intensification of contacts in science and technology, healthcare and education, establishment of relations between higher educational establishments of Uzbekistan and Canada.

The sides exchanged opinion on international and regional issues of mutual interest.
