Campaign for modernization of SanPiN for base stations is recognized as the Best PR Project of the Year
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A solemn ceremony of awarding the winners of the ADWEEK Advertising Competition was held in Uzbekistan.

Jury of the contest select the winners in 11 nominations. The project on modernizing the healthcare standards for traffic density of base stations of mobile operators was recognized as the best PR project of the year.

The sanitary rules and regulations in force in Uzbekistan regarding the level of electromagnetic radiation from honeycomb antennas are one of the most stringent in the world: 2.5 μW / cm². For comparison: in Russia this rate is 4 times higher - 10 μW / cm², in the EU countries it is 40 times higher - up to 100 μW / cm², and in Israel at 400 μW / cm². It should be understood that 10, 100, and 400 μW / cm² are absolutely safe parameters.

“According to the statements of the World Health Organization, promulgated in 2006 and 2011, the world has not recorded a single precedent of harm to human health by base stations of mobile operators. It should be noted that the increase in traffic density of base stations, in the first place, serves as the provision of mobile communications services for unreached settlements, as well as for highway and railroads. Only in 2017 throughout the country installed 1843 base stations of mobile operators. Thus, to date, over 20 thousand base stations have been installed throughout the country. And this year another 4,000 base stations are planned to be installed, which will significantly increase coverage of mobile communications in the regions of the country and improve its quality everywhere,” said Azim Ahmedkhadjayev, Minister of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The international jury of ADWEEK highly appreciated the concept and strategy of the project, as well as the tangible result achieved by the efforts of the entire industry with the active assistance of the regulator. After a series of analytical publications and expert discussions, the Ministry of Health introduced an addendum to SanPin 0295-11, which allows increasing the flux density by 4 times. Millions of residents of the regions of Uzbekistan have already experienced positive changes in the quality of communication.

Commenting on the event, Director General of Unitel Dmitry Shukov noted: "The ADWEEK award in this case is a vivid example of how the joint actions of all operators led by the Ministry of Finance can facilitate the rapid and effective modernization of the telecom infrastructure. There is no doubt that our industry has great creative potential, and with due state support of market initiatives, relying on the best world practices, we will be able to achieve colossal results.
