Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Chinese company CAMC Engineering plans to invest US$16 million in projects in Kashkadarya region.
Khokim of Kashkadarya region Murotjon Azimov visits China and held talks with representatives of CAMC Engineering.
The parties agreed to create a tourist and recreational zone "Kainar" in Kitab district. The zone will receive up to 200,000 foreign tourists a year. The Chinese company is expected to develop a master plan for the project.
The parties signed an agreement on the construction of a cable car in Kitab for US$15 million through direct investment.
The Chinese company is ready to attract other Chinese companies for the joint development of a special economic zone near Karshi International Airport.
The transit potential of Kashkadarya region was noted in connection with the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. This road will enable Chinese entrepreneurs to gain access to the Afghan market.
